This work explores the tension between speed and wealth, and the way time itself becomes a privilege. Set within a constructed miniature world, the piece stages a dialogue between playfulness and critique, suggesting that while some can afford to treat time as a luxury, others are caught in its relentless pace.
The repetition of symbols creates an atmosphere of excess and inevitability, evoking the saturation of our daily lives with promises of speed, success, and prestige. The figures, small and fragile, stand as both participants in and witnesses to this system — a system where access to time and leisure is not shared equally.
How value is measured, who controls the clock, and what it means to be “on time” in a world where wealth can bend the rules of urgency.
