Shadow box contemporary pop art composition featuring portrait of a queen from the 1800's wearing a modern gas mask. There is a platform with two miniature figurines finishing some graffiti

This piece reimagines the elegance of monarchy under the suffocating weight of modern decay. The queen, once a symbol of refinement and control, now hides behind a gas mask — her composure intact, yet her survival dependent on protection from the very world her image once ruled.

The graffiti that covers the background turns reverence into rebellion, history into noise. What was once untouchable is now public property, marked, claimed, and altered by the hands of those living in the aftermath of her authority.

For me, this work is about the erosion of power and the irony of preservation. Even the most polished emblems of civilization are not immune to contamination — environmental, social, or moral. The crown remains, but the air has changed; what was once poised now gasps beneath its own legacy.

One of a kind original artwork.
