This work began with a reflection on systems we once trusted — institutions that carried more than goods; they carried connection, patience, and a sense of belonging to something larger. Over time, those systems have been eroded, replaced by speed and efficiency at all costs. What is gained in convenience is often lost in care.
The repetition of the packages speaks to the dominance of a new order, while the fading traces of what came before lingering beneath the surface, half-hidden but not entirely erased. The rusted truck becomes a symbol of decline, a reminder that what once served everyone now struggles to survive.
For me, the piece is a question as much as a statement: what happens when we let go of the slower, human-scaled networks in favor of something faster, shinier, more profitable? Should we save what remains, or accept that another era has already ended?
